I endeavor to capture our natural surroundings in a positive light. Spending time outdoors observing and interacting with nature compels me to express the essence of what I see and feel. I am drawn to active skies, forests, rolling fields and bodies of water, painting intuitively with expressive strokes. I enjoy loading my brush with two or three colours, watching the mixture of pigments and brush marks that appear. I paint with a driving force and once a piece is complete, I often wonder how I did it. I love to preserve moments in time and capture snippets of everyday life.
